Scan Photos With LG's Scanner Mouse

Photo-scanning isn’t the most fun activity in the world, but a new mouse from LG certainly looks to liven things up. The scanner mouse (model LSM-100) has a “smart scan” button you hold to start the scanning process and as the image appears on-screen, you can drag and drop it to save as a specific file format (PNG, JPEG, TIFF and PDF).

The scanner can also recognize text and scan it as an editable World document. Pricing and availability weren’t announced but it’s still pretty cool. Check out the video below for a sense of how it works. It’s obviously not a practical solution if you have a large pile of photo prints to get through, but for one-offs, book or magazine pages, etc. it seems pretty useful.
