A full 27 percent of our photos and videos are now captured using a smartphone, according to a study from the NPD Group.
Having just joined the smartphone set fairly recently (with the iPhone), I do find myself snapping a larger portion of my photos on it. While the quality still lags what you can achieve on a nice standalone camera or d-SLR, the always-connected nature of smartphones do make sharing photos easier. Apple’s iCloud is a great solution that automates the transferring of images – although it’s not perfect (it doesn’t organize photos and can’t tackle video transfers just yet).
What do you think? Is the smartphone your go-to camera these days?
