The Eye Fi memory card is one of the more ingenious solutions for easily transferring and organizing digital photos and videos. They’ve now announced the availability of a free upgrade to their X2 line of memory cards: Direct Mode.
Using direct mode, you can transfer images from your camera to an Android or iPhone (or iPad) running Eye Fi’s free app. Eye Fi is including the Direct Mode feature on all its new X2 memory cards. Existing owners can enjoy a free firmware upgrade.
